Certificate III In Property Services (Agency)

This is a great way for anyone to enter the real estate industry, as it contains pathways to a variety of different careers in real estate.

In your Certificate III study you will achieve understanding in the personnel roles and company structures of a real estate office, also the licensing requirements of the Sales Representative and Agent.

Starting with three days of Law you will come away with a thorough understanding of Contact and Property law in a real estate context. The understanding of risk management in real estate is also an essential part of your studies.

Next you have three days of learning to complete the most important documentation in real estate - Sales Agency Agreements, Contracts and Form 1's, all with different scenarios.

Your next day is with an Auctioneer discussing the importance of Selling and Finalising the Sale by Private Treaty versus Auctions.

Your final 3 days will be focused on Property Management, you will cover all the details from 'Listing the Property' to 'Implementing a Maintenance Plan' (see subject overview).

There are also four (4) external assessments to complete these are specific to your personal development and working in a real estate office. They include:

  • Maintain workplace safety in the property industry
  • Meet customer needs and expectations in the property industry
  • Develop work priorities
  • Use and maintain property and client information databases

The cost of the Certificate III in Property Services (Agency) is $2,000 or for a traineeship the cost is $830.
